First Day of School Tomorrow

I feel like I have ten thousand things on my mind. I start thinking about one thing and before I know it I’m distracted by another. Same thing about feelings. I’m unusually calm and then suddenly extremely overwhelmed. Yesterday I ran into one of my students at Wal-mart. He came up to say hi to me and I somehow remembered his first and last name. I’m just holding on to that moment for now and reminding myself that these students are still people that do people-y things and as scary as everything might be, it’ll be okay.

Also, I normally don’t remember bible verses word for word, but the beginning of this one kept popping into my mind so I looked it up and it’s very comforting:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

Buena suerte to everyone for their first day of school! : D
